What happens inside us when we stand before something new? Sometimes we welcome the new and look forward to trying this on (like a new pair of walking shoes). Other times we panic at the new and recoil with a twinge of fear. What would happen if we just paused and welcomed the new–no matter what–and held space for whatever comes up for us? If excitement, we move forward with glee. If panic, we stay with the sensation–notice the sensation and just be with this for a moment. Then we move forward without all the drama and with more presence. How do you handle the new?
